This is my first time sitting down and creating a vision board, which feels long overdue because I’ve always believed in the power of setting intentions. This year, I’m focusing on aligning my goals with the life I want to create for myself and my family. With baby number two arriving in June and my toddler growing up so quickly, I’ve realized how important it is to slow down and be present. Manifesting my dreams into reality is something I’ve seen happen in my life before, and this vision board is my way of embracing that practice again.
Over the years, I’ve found myself caught up in the hustle and ambition of life, often neglecting my own needs. Now, I’m making a conscious effort to live a softer life—one where self-care, family time, and intentionality take center stage. Here are the themes I’m focusing on for 2025 and how I plan to make them a reality.
1. Living a Softer Life
Life can feel overwhelming, but this year I’m choosing to slow down. I’m inspired by the idea of creating peaceful moments, whether it’s enjoying a quiet cup of tea or cuddling with my kids on the couch. My vision is to focus on calm, simplicity, and intentional living.
2. Spending Moments with Loved Ones
Family time is at the heart of my vision. I want to create more opportunities for shared moments with my partner, our kids, and our extended family. Whether it’s a peaceful family walk, a picnic, or a cozy movie night, these moments are what truly matter.
3. Figuring Out Our Forever Home
This year, we’re making strides toward defining our forever home. I’m inspired by ideas for remodeling, landscaping, and designing spaces that feel uniquely ours. I can’t wait to create a backyard where the kids can play and memories can be made.
4. Quality Time with My Son
With a new baby joining us in June, I want to ensure I’m making meaningful memories with my toddler. I plan to set aside individual time to nurture our bond and cherish these moments, giving myself grace as I navigate motherhood.
5. Preparing for Baby #2
Welcoming another baby means preparation! This includes taking care of myself during pregnancy with gentle workouts, nourishing meals, and self-care. I’m also excited to get everything ready for our newest family member—from organizing the nursery to packing the hospital bag.
6. Home-Cooked Meals
This year, I want to focus on creating more intentional, home-cooked meals for our family. It’s not just about nourishment but also about the joy of sitting together at the table and sharing our day.
7. Prioritizing My Health and Sleep
Rest and self-care are non-negotiable this year. I’m making sleep a top priority, along with reading and maintaining healthy habits. Slowing down and prioritizing my well-being will help me show up for my family and myself.
8. Hosting and Nurturing Relationships
I want to spend more time nurturing a sense of connection and joy in my life. Hosting small gatherings, even simple ones, is something I’d like to do as a way to create a warm atmosphere. Whether it’s sharing meals, or just spending time together, I also hope to find small ways to connect with my family and cherish those moments.
9. Gardening and Homegrown Produce
Gardening is a source of joy and connection to nature for me. I’m looking forward to another year of growing fruits and vegetables, teaching my kids about the beauty of nature, and enjoying fresh, homegrown produce.
10. Short Trips
While a big vacation may not be realistic this year, I’m dreaming of short trips to nearby places. A cozy cabin or a scenic road trip could be just the reset we need.
11. Downsizing and Simplifying
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been decluttering our home, and I want to continue this trend. Simplifying our space and reducing unnecessary belongings feels freeing and allows us to focus on what truly matters.
